Update take two

More updating to be done....

A couple of weeks ago Lillianna's cousins Ella, Daisy, & Leah came to visit. Here is Ella helping Lillianna put her puzzle together. Ella is very helpful and very, very sweet to her cousin. They are going to be best friends one day!

It has been so beautiful here the past couple of weeks....only in the 80's and with a breeze you really can't beat it! This is during a dinner which we are enjoying in our backyard. I could stare at that smile for hours.

This was taken at the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago when we visited Aunt Courtney, Uncle John Eric & Cousin Napolean last weekend. That is tiny Lillianna's hand next to the replica of a polar bear's paw. We saw two of them and they were both gorgeous and a little scary.

Update....

Camera still isn't fixed but we were able to unload all of our pictures so we can take it in to finally be fixed. Here are some of my favorite pictures of the lat month.

This one will always take me back to the last couple of weeks before our move when we could hardly move around because of all the boxes. Lillianna pushed her way through though.

This is the last swim of the summer with Mary Bibb. They sealed the moment with a kiss...something they do all the time now. how cute!

This is one of the first days in our new hosue. One this particular day (maybe the only day ever) she wanted to keep her hat on...her very special hat that her aunt Lesley and Aunt Ashley made her.

This is later that day when playing in the hose was just too good to be true.

Well, Hello!

Hi family and friends! So sorry that we havn't posted lately. We are still trying to get the camera fixed and it looks like we're going to have to send it in. We did manage to finally get a few pictures off the camera onto the computer so here's a couple. Lillianna is a precious, busy, little girl these days....not alot of baby left. She's taking a few more steps everyday and exploring all she can do when she gets somewhere. We're ready for this hot weather to be over but more so, we're ready to be settled in our new house....moved in less than a week, settled in less than a year. We love you all and miss you too!

Black-eyed vampire

Things are looking up today. Her eyes are still swollen but she's been a good mood. In this picture she is sucking her top lip...a new thing brought on my some new teeth trying to get ready to come in. The funny thing is I think it's her Canine (k-9, fang) teeth so it'll look like she's missing her front four teeth. She'll be my little vampire or redneck one.

Brad hasn't seen this yet and actually will only see this picture because it already came off.

Lillianna's first piece of artwork and like all true artists she needed a bigger canvas than the paper that's just outside the picture. actually she was trying to "pat" electrical sockets with the pencil. I heard it but didn't look down until it was too late. Picasso Parsons.

What a day!

Just another Monday morning:

I took this picture before my morning walk with Lillianna. I took it to capture the beauty of our favorite tree. Since we just sold our house, we are going to miss this tree more than anything else! You can see Lillianna in the stroller expecting just another usual Monday.

This sad picture was taken after our walk. Each morning after our walk, Lillianna likes to sit on the driveway and play with stick, leaves, and the flowers in the flower bed. This morning, she was minding her own business, stirring some mulch with her blue spoon when Sid, our cat, came running at her full speed and didn't stop. Lillianna hit the concrete and piece of wood lining the floor bed head-first. It's hard to say whether it was an accident or an act or terroism on Sid's part but the fact that she had already sprayed the room this morning when Lillianna was playing in her food doesn't make Sid look too good. The jury is still out on the punishment. Lillianna is okay and suffered only minor, though many, scrapes and bruises on her face, head, and shoulder. poor baby.

Our day got much better when our friends Meredith and her daughter Lydia, pictured here, invited us over. It was so good to see them!

It got even better when Lydia shared ALL of her toys with Lillianna, handing them to her one by one, until she was covered in exciting new toys!

Just when we thought the day couldn't get better, Lydia had the best idea!

It's so nice to have friends to brighten your day!

Lillianna decides to bulldoze her co-stars as they discuss whether to join Sarah Laine's band or follow Sam on his next adventure. Sam is coaxing Mary Emma to go with him.

Fireworks and Friends

HAPPY 4th of JULY!!!

This was today after swimming, popscicles, bar-b-que, playing with friends, and lots of attention. She had a great first 4th of July.

As I write though, Brad is consoling/rocking her back to sleep after waking up screaming. First we thought it was the fact that every one of our neighbors is shooting something loud right now (fireworks, bottlerockets, shotguns probably) and it scared her. But after realizing it was her "i'm hurt" scream, we now we think its an upset stomach.

Sometimes you can have too much of a good thing (animal crackers).

Our little Princess

The Princess has a new best friend, I mean septor. She is smitten with this platic blue spoon that has not left her hand much in the last few days.

She points with it, taps with it, crawls with it, over all just lives with it.

I can see us explaining to her 1st grade teacher that "she just has to have her little blue spoon."

Life on the Lake

Lillianna took her first trip to Lake Tuscaloosa this weekend.

She got spoiled by her Grandpa, Jean-Jean, Pops, Su-Su and her Aunt Lesley. She was so busy and had so much fun she even slept in on Sunday! yea!

Sid, the cat, was babysitting Lillianna while I ran a few errands. When I came home Sid had even fed Lillianna lunch. What a sweet, considerate cat.

Lillianna: I think I'll take some for an afternoon snack.

Sid: This "baby thing" has gone too far.

Just a swingin'

Lillianna still doesn't feel good.

After many hours of clinging to me with the never ceasing grunt/whine "mmm...mmm...mmm...mmm," we had to get out of the house. So we went swinging which was a perfect escape...for 20 minutes. Still, she seemed to love it and it's a beautiful summer day.
