A little catnip never hurt

Sid, the cat, was babysitting Lillianna while I ran a few errands. When I came home Sid had even fed Lillianna lunch. What a sweet, considerate cat.

Lillianna: I think I'll take some for an afternoon snack.

Sid: This "baby thing" has gone too far.

Just a swingin'

Lillianna still doesn't feel good.

After many hours of clinging to me with the never ceasing grunt/whine "mmm...mmm...mmm...mmm," we had to get out of the house. So we went swinging which was a perfect escape...for 20 minutes. Still, she seemed to love it and it's a beautiful summer day.

Mom, can we get a puppy? We don't have enough animals in this zoo.

This was yesterday when she had a fever and really didn't feel well. Turns out she has a fever virus and should be all better in a couple of days. No symptoms except fever, fussiness, and that sick look in her eyes. You can kind of see it here. Still so cute though.

Back to her old tricks. Obviously, she's feeling a little better today.

My Sunshine

Just some everyday happenings:

This is earlier today. Ya-Ya gave this Winnie-the-Pooh sprinkler to her and she loves it. She doesn't love it the second after I took this picture and Pooh has sprayed her directly in the eye with water. She prefers Pooh and her eyes to stay dry.

Wow! I finally got my hands on the basket Mom keeps from me all the time. I can't believe it!! I've been waiting so long to do this - how great!

That was it? Not worth the wait.

This was on Monday. She is so happy because she has just attacked Attie (the cat) on the pillow and now sees herself in the camera screen.

I love this because if you look closely you can see her 3 inch tongue sticking out. Sticking it out just so is the key to getting from the table to the couch. (if you didn't know)

Love at first bite

So I started out licking the popsicle and then holding it for Lillianna to lick. Her eyes got big after her first taste and she grunted for more. Then I held it a little longer and soon she was sucking on it as though it was the best tasting pacifier in the world. I was afraid she'd get a "brain freeze" headache but she wasn't afraid of anything except that it was melting too fast. So she took matters into her own hands, literally, and enjoyed the rest of it all by herself. You can just see the look of pure heaven in her eyes.

It truly is the little things in life that should make us all this happy.

Friends Forever

So today we went over to see Ginny and Mary Bibb for a little lunch and playtime.

Lillianna: Did they just say we had to wear diapers for atleast another year?

Mary Bibb: Surely they were kidding.

I think I'll wear this today.

Mary Bibb, you are the bestest friend I could ever ask for....

but I told you not to take that toy from me. bonk!

Lillianna's first date...

This is Sam...You've seen him in the baby group pictures. He is three weeks older than Lillianna and has beautiful, bright blue eyes.

Sam came over and played with Lillianna today. She warmed up to him right away. She wanted to share everything with him and he was glad when she did. They had a great time together!

Fun with food

So I think her nickname could still be Peaches. She ate an entire can today at lunch. She couldn't get them in her mouth fast enough. After they were all gone, she put her head down and tried to lick the tray!

I need more toys

When I'm trying to design and print cards, Lillianna gets to a) pull stacks of paper off a bottom shelf and re-decorate the floor; b) play with the wonderful, exciting toys in the toy box behind my chair; c) stand holding on to my chair patting my leg; or d) none of the above.

Most of the time it's d. - cry and fuss until we change rooms and I work on cards during a nap or after she goes to bed.

Here though she is playing with her toys....yea!

I see this look a 110 times a day...sweet, mischievious, wanting to giggle....I love it!

Lillianna + Blankie = LOVE

Lillianna LOVES her blankie! Yesterday I walked in to get her from a nap and this is exactly what she was doing. Usually, she will do this with one blankie when she's getting ready for bed and we say, "Love the blankie." It was so cute that she kept doing it with both. She was so excited and just kept hugging them even as I ran to get the camera.

Mealtime? Showtime!!!

So I guess we'll just have to start calling her Genius instead of Lillianna.

It really is a great little milestone because it's one more thing I don't have to hold for her but even better, she loves it as an activity at mealtime. She is so proud of herself and just tosses that head back, bites the spout, and does her huffy puffy noise through her noise. hysterical!

Miss Independent

And she's off! She is crawling from one end of the house to the other this week. Loving her new found independence.

Summer Lovin'

Memorial Day weekend 2006 was fun...and hot. So we cooled off in the water!

Babies everywhere

We've been busy this week - sorry I havn't been better about pictures. She is wearing me out moving everywhere all the time. I know most of you are laughing at me because I don't even know what life will be like in a few more months, let alone a few more years.

She's doing so much now and Brad and I are in amazement of her more and more everyday.

The bottome pics are from playgroup yesterday which was great. It's the same four babies we've been with before, all born within a month of eachother. Putt was born a couple of months later and joined us for the first time yesterday. We had a wonderful time.

Who does she look like here? Maybe Brad when I tell him we're out of beer. It's the only good picture of her two little toofers though. sooo cute. Our Doc thinks she should be getting the top two soon. She'll be ready for steak before long.
