Springtime Sprinkler

So after a long morning, the girls wanted a little fun in the sun.

So Ginny and I set up the sprinkler.

This is their first reaction...

"That's it?"

Of course, soon it was bare bottoms and lots of squeals!

" I love this but the water is soooo cold!! heeeeeeee!"

Ooooh, up close it's even better!

"Hey look Lillianna! We can drink it. It's sooooo delicious!"

"Oh great idea Bibby...Let me just get in a real comfortable position for a nice, long, refreshing sip."

"Oh look it's my friend Belly Button. Do you have one?"

"Oh yeah, there's your Belly Button. It's so cute!"

"What a great day Bibby, you're my bestest friend...well except for Blankie."

"Thanks Lalelalala. I had so much fun too!"

So one day last weekend, Mary Bibb (Bibby) shared her GIANT sucker with Lillianna.

It sealed the deal that suckers might be the greatest thing on Earth to Lillianna...over blueberries and Mickey Mouse.

Lillianna: "okay let me give it a try...wow, this thing is big"

Mary Bibb: "mmmhmm." suck. suck.

Lillianna: "OMYGOSHITISTHEMOSTDELICIOUSMOSTWONDERFULTHINGEVER!"

Mary Bibb: "mmmhmm." suck. suck.

Lillianna: "I CAN"T BELIEVE THIS WHOLE GIANT THING IS MINE!! I LOVE SUCKERRRRSS!"

Mary Bibb: "you're funny." suck. suck.

So on Saturday when it was pouring down rain and we had danced, played chase, banged on the piano, watched Mickey, sang songs, colored with crayon, pens, and markers, sculpted with play-doh, and exhausted every other inside activity...

we gave Lillianna a sucker for a few moments of peace.

Tea, Sand and Mickey

Let's see, last week was pretty busy with...

several tea parties inside with friends

and lots of playing outside. I also spent some time with Boone...

digging in my new sand and water table. I prefer the sand and boone prefers the water.

Then on Friday I got to have lunch with my Aunt Kelsey and cousin Baby Bentley in Nashville.

Sweet Bentley was so good all day...especially in the Disney Store. Meanwhile, I was overwhelmed by the hundreds of Mickey and Minnie stuffed animals...

so Bear Bear and I had a meltdown on the giant Car pillow.

Whew! What a week.

Brad had the awesome opportunity to run away to the Masters this weekend so....

I've been trying to keep Lillianna entertained in between her miserable melt-downs due to a miserable cold. Thanks to sweet Aunt Sallie, we had a spontaneous, much needed tea party on the drive way yesterday after discovering Aunt Sal's package in the mail.

Once there was a little girl named Lillirella who always knew she was meant to have better hair accesories than her Mother put in her hair. So one day Lillirella traded in her barrette for a trendy headband...

"It's cute but not quite my style. I'm looking for something with more sparkle!"

"This is just the look I was going for!"

Lillirella felt like a Princess.

And sometimes acted like she was a Princess.

Spring is here!

Hearing that it was supposed to get cold...hard to believe that day last week when it was 88 degrees...we got outside to enjoy the pretty flowers in the yard.

Then we went over to Delano Park to meet up with our friends Abby and 1 month old Maggie.
